A little more about us...

As I'm new to this, I thank you for your patience. My daughter-in-law (Christy) has Celiac disease, so going out for meals with her and our son a little challenging. When both sides of the family try to do anything, we always free load off them at their house. Here mom and brother and sister all have Celiac, so they feel saver with their own cooking. They have found out the hard way that even when a restaurant says they have a gluten free menu, sometimes there is enough contamination that effects them.

Here in Kansas city, we have a restaurant named "Waldo Pizza" that has a gluten free pizza crust. Most of the toppings and sauces are also gluten free, so you have a good choice to when building your pizza. I don't remember Christy ever have any issues at Waldo, so can recommend it to those who would like to try them.

Welcome to my feeding frenzy. That sums up how I see life some times. Not only my work life, but it seems I only relax with my family while we are putting on the feed bag. And with some family members diet needs to avoid gluten (Celiac), Finding a place for all to enjoy gets hard and expensive.

Tonight we went to Calipeto's in Lees Summit MO. Being a Friday night, there was a good crowd. It's an Italian restaurant with night prices in the $11-$15 range. As my wife and I were just starting to relax with the good food, I got called form work so had to go home and dial in to work on the company computer files. So the frenzy continues, even into the weekend.

So although my visit was cut short, we enjoyed the restaurant and know you should have a good experience.
